In N.I. the chicken industry is huge producing much more than we can eat and supplying most of the output overseas. You'd have to give over thousands of fields to free range and the number of foxes would increase markedly because of the easy availability of captive food.<br/><br/>What I'm saying is this would merely transfer the problem. The very same people who would be up in arms about battery hens will also be vehemently anti any means of controlling the foxes.
